You might be here looking for a therapist because you are feeling depressed or anxious or you are having difficulties in your relationships. Your concerns may reflect situational difficulties or they may be a result of longer standing patterns in your life. Either way, reflecting on your feelings, thoughts, and interactions with others and yourself can illuminate the sources of the problems and provide greater freedom to make different choices in the way you configure your relationships, work, and the general quality of your life.

During our time together, we will collaboratively explore and discuss your issues of concern and uncover new awarenesses and different ways of being in the world. At times, my role will be to provide feedback or help you problem-solve specific issues. At other times, my role will be to help you explore and better understand the complexities and dynamics underlying these issues.

I believe that for best results, sessions should be scheduled on a weekly basis to provide continuity and momentum necessary for this kind of work. Sometimes it can be helpful to increase the frequency of sessions in order to provide greater depth and focus.

If you decide to schedule an initial appointment, I recommend meeting together for another 1-2 sessions in order to provide the time we need to assess our fit. During this evaluation period, I will be forming an opinion as to how my training, experience, and personality will allow me to be of help to you. At the same time, you can use this time to reflect on your experience of speaking with me and can decide if I might be someone you would be comfortable talking to on an ongoing basis. Throughout this discussion, I will share with you my thoughts, impressions, and recommendations and we decide together how treatment could best proceed.
